Reliable oils contain film strength and anti-rust additives and provide good oiliness for general lubrication of machinery even under high boundary lubrication conditions. These products maintain a thin film of oil under light and medium loads and provide protection against corrosion and rust even during the storage periods. Reliable oils are recommended for all types of industrial machinery using 'once-through' lubrication systems. These are also recommended for use in the lubrication system of machine tools, textile machinery and other machine parts, which are lubricated by a thin film of oil. Heavier grade Reliable oils can be used in the lubrication of small open gears under light duty conditions where oil is applied intermittently by means of an oil can.
